WELCOME to WorkLine UK. We offer free advice on this website,  through a confidential phone number (0870 850 7147) or by email

Workline UK is sponsored by Women in Film and Television and the UK Film Council and supported by Goodman Derrick LLP (Employment Lawyers).

If you phone us (calls cost 8p per minute), please leave a message and we will call you back. Our advice is work related - so whether you are:

  • an employee (on a permanent or short-term contract),
  • a worker,
  • self-employed
  • or you may not know your employment status
  • or you are an Employer
- you can ask us any question relating to work and employment as long as you are working in the UK FILM AND TELEVISION INDUSTRIES

We are, however, not funded to offer Careers, Recruitment or Training advice - but there are many organisations who can help you and we can direct you to those.

Whatever job you do we can offer you free and confidential advice (our Advisors have many years experience in the industry).

Have a look at our website - by using the Search facility, the topic bars or the FAQ's - and if you can't find what you need to know then call or e-mail us (calls will cost approximately 8 pence per minute so leave a message and we'll call you back).

We will always aim to respond to your query within 48 hours, Monday-Friday, 10am-6pm.

Please note that the advice given on this website and by our Advisors is guidance only and cannot be taken as an authoritative interpretation of the law, or as specific advice for individual cases (please refer to the Terms and Conditions bar for more details).

Please note that the advice given on this website and by our Advisors is guidance only and cannot be taken as an authoritave interpretaion of the law. It can also not be seen as specific advice for individual cases. Please also note that there are differences in legislation in Northern Ireland.
